Hi, my name is David Barron, I'm the owner of Barrons Hairdressing & Photovision in Muswell Hill, N10.
I trained as a hairdresser back in the swinging sixties with the likes of Vidal Sassoon and other leading lights at that time. My enthusiasm for photography began when as a young influential hairdresser I was often asked to do photo session work for the hairdressing industry. Having always had a interest in photography, I decided that I could create the looks and produce the required end results myself.
After studying the art of lighting, photographic techniques and having the opportunity of working together with various leading photographers I began my passion for developing what I now call photo-styling in my salon studio.
I beleave that as a hairdresser it is vital to know the exact look that's required and are able to make your client feel comfortable and relaxed, likewise in people photography, good communication skills are essentual
in order to acheive great images.
Over the years I have obtained some prestigious accolades both in hairdressing and photography, namely The British Hairdresser of the year business award winner for 'Innovation of the year', The MPA 'London fashion photographer of the year’, the Guild of hairdressing 'Photostylist of the year and finalist in 'the L’Oreal colour trophy' and 'The Wella trophy'. Last year one of my clients was named 'Celebrity with the best haircut of the year' by the National press.
My specialty is 'making people look good' photography, portraits, fashion and makeovers.
I love to be able to capture natural beautiful images.
I pride myself with the ability to see the best in people and to be able to communicate well putting them at ease and bringing a smile to their face.
My clients range from people of all ages and from all walks of life.
